“Hello, Happy Life!” Career development group counseling
Oct. 23, 2024
The School of Life Sciences hosted a successful career development group counseling activity in Golden Light Building to assist students in understanding and alleviating anxieties. The meeting was led by Mr. Zhuang, a well-known counselor at the Psychological Counseling Service Center.
Participants listened for instructions
At the start of the event, Mr. Zhuang had students introduce themselves and share their career plans and future aspirations. He then led them in selecting pattern cards to reflect on their values, enhancing their self-awareness.
Students share their cards
Mr. Zhuang facilitated an activity where students selected cards to represent their past, present, and future, and discussed their choices in groups. This process helped students understand different career perspectives, recognize their own values and skills, and identify current thoughts and challenges. At the end, Mr. Zhuang guided students to select a card reflecting their current feelings, summarizing the activity with the hope that it would lead to deeper self-awareness and clearer career direction.
